Sunday November 11, 2012 from 3-6 pm, the Regenerations Botanical Garden is hosting a Seed Saving and Improvement workshop at Children of the Land Center for Polynesian Culture in Kapaa next to Papayas.
Recently added to my PhotoShelter archive are photos from last year’s Kauai Seed Basics Workshop where I learned so much about seed saving from the experience. It was held Nov. 6-8, 2011 on Kauai by Nancy Redfeather, Coordinator for The Hawai’i Public Seed Initiative and the kohala center. Speakers included Hector Valenzuela, Russell Nagata and Glenn Teves from the University of Hawaii. Events took place in conjunction with Paul Massey and Jill Richardson of the Regenerations Botanical Garden, Chris Kobayashi and Dimi Rivera of Wai’oli Farm and with Sun and Lisa at One Song Farm.
Here is an article in the Molokai News on the workshop being given in Molokai:
Paul Myers is the owner of Paul Myers Pictures, a documentary photographer specializing in weddings, life events and portraits on Kauai, Hawaii. With over 15 years of documentary photography experience, I continue to find joy in showcasing the moments of everyday life. It is as simple as it sounds, my goal is to live life as a visual storyteller. Prior to moving to Kauai I worked as a photojournalist at newspapers and magazines, and taught multimedia workshops. Additionally, I taught across the curriculum in visual journalism at Brooks Institute. My short-form multimedia productions have appeared on the web sites of USA Today and the San Jose Mercury News and Story4.org. Now living on Kauai, I help people create the photographs people dream about. If you have a comment or suggestion, or would like to book a photographer, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you.
